I really dislike all the partisan games in Congress, but am especially confused when it comes into play on things that shouldn't even be that much of a question. Below is a video someone put together on the 30 senators that voted against the amendment to not allow contracts/funding to companies that contractually ban employees from bringing sexual assault, discrimination, or battery claims to court. It looks pretty straightforward to me. I know some say that it penalizes Halliburton, but Halliburton should be penalized. It would be interesting to see how the result would have been different if the company was ACORN instead of Halliburton; I'm sure these 30 senators would be steaming mad (and some of the Democrats would probably vote against it; did I mention I dislike partisan games?).
